It appears the entries for the 2010 World FITASC Champs are open on the new FITASC site which so far, is a huge improvement over the older one. The site was due to launch this Monday January 18 but I guess they were early. The site says the entries are due to open next Monday but shooters have been able to pay for them now. When you fill in your shooters card be sure to use the European date format of Day/Month/4-digit year. I did it wrong and it said I was a Super-vet! It’s easy to correct it if you need to. Also be sure to select all the national federations you belong to or it may not let you enter some competitions i.e. If you didn’t select U.S. Helice then try to enter a Helice competition you get an error. (at least that’s what I can tell at the moment.)
Looks like a single entry is 245.00 Euros or about $352.00 USD. Sign up quick because the world’s always sell out fast! See this post if you have any trouble signing up.

Re: World Cup Registration:
I have tried everything to register today to no avail; just a screen that say’s Monday the 18th. Are you positive that people have registered? I would love to talk with one of those people perhaps I am doing something wrong?

I know of three Canadians who got as far as paying their entry fees and got a conformation number.
Sorry if you have done all of this already but here is what they did. When you go to the site you have to create the shooter card then in a box on the upper left it says “Sélectionnez une compétition” you click that to go to the competition list.
Select the Worlds in Laterina and it goes to the presentation screen. Then you click on the “Register” tab scroll to the bottom and check the box that you agree to the terms.
Then you will get to the entry form. I did it earlier and got as far as where the bank would take my card number. I stopped there though because I’m not ready to enter.
Personally I believe it is working, but you might wait until Monday because I don’t see the numbers of entrants listed changing. It still says 0. We FITASC fanatics may be jumping the gun a little!
The site works, somewhat! I know of some 20 who have signed up. You need to read the instructions carefully and get a new “shooter card”. You can print the credit card reciept at the end, look for reçue. If a 70+ can register from the deap south, most Americans that can read and write can also!
There are two oops with the FITASC site. You can’t see who is signed in and you can’t re log on! They should have this sorted tomorrow or Monday.

Take it as truth from Henry. Also a shooting buddy of mine just told me he entered to. It does work, just follow the steps I outlined above.
Thank you Jason & Henry! Your instructions were most helpful. The key was to get a new shooters card; seemed dreadful but actually was much smoother than the previous way. Another hint is that when you click on the competition category (from the list) the register “tab” up top was above my screen so I kept clicking to the left register tab…seriously I am brunette; “just one of those things”!
