New World FITASC Champ crowned and it ain’t King George…

George Digweed (GBR) posted this on his Facebook and Twitter pages moments ago. Check the link below for the official scores and event images.

Gutted to report that I lost the World’s by one clay. I shot a first round 19 in yet another terrible storm, the weather cleared and I shot a 24…Damien Birgan finished on 187, myself 186, Mark Marshall 184, no one else scored in the 180s.

Congrats to Birgan (AUS), well done mate! Highest finishing Americans were Kruger, Kruse and Duffy all piled up for 9, 10 and 11th respectively. Highest American lady was Darby Fennel but out of the medals. Randy Travalia and Abel Spire went Bronze in Vet and Junior. The big win for the USA was Joe Cantey and William Falls in Super Vet with Gold and Bronze respectively. Really good payoff for Falls as he put in a lot of time on the international scene this year. Consider his dues paid. Team USA: Seniors finished in Bronze position, Juniors in Silver and Super-Vets in Gold. Well done guys!
