One of the hot issues circulating recently on the shotgun bulletin boards has been the aggressive team building moves by Blaser USA. The speculation first came about when pictures of Bill McGuire’s custom stocked F3 appeared last month on Trapshooters.com. Here is an official statement from Blaser USA…
Since the inception of Blaser USA we have always had sponsored shooters. This team is anchored by Bobby Fowler and Maureen Daane. We are very excited in the growth of our sponsored shooter program for 2009. This line up will include Bill McGuire, Tom Mack, Brian Huges, Mike Wilgus, Janet McDougal and perhaps one or two more. The reason we feel such notable shooters are coming to Blaser is due to exceptional products. The modular nature of our F3 offers an incredible amount of versatility. This versatility allows the shooter to make adjustments to the gun via the innovative weight system, stock options and barrel choices. Not having to send their gun to a gunsmith allows more time shooting not waiting for the return of their gun. Secondly we are a company with tremendous industry experience. Norbert Haussmann our CEO has 32 years experience in the industry as well as being a Master Gunsmith. I have 18 years in the industry as well as being an accomplished Trap shooter having won the 100th Grand American. Shooters need products that work and they need a team behind them that listens and understands the demands of the sport. We will continue to be aggressive in the growth of our shooting sports program because we realize the value, as Diplomats of our company, these shooters represent.
Best regards,
Rich Kaysa V.P. Sales and Marketing Blaser USA
It is rumored that Cory Kruse has also been seen shooting an F3. -Update- One of the messages on the forums had Zach Kienbaum associated with Blaser but he is in fact shooting for Perazzi in 2009. Stay tuned!
