Entries for the 2012 World English Sporting Championship are now open on the CPSA website.  The Championship and other events will be held August 1-5 at a greenfield site in the Cotswolds area of the UK.  You can enter online at the link below or use the optional .pdf entry form.

Well looks like we broke the meter on this one.  An email from FITASC headquarters shows a record number of registrations were received in the first 24 hours for the 2012 World FITASC Championship.  They have just opened a new batch of places.  You better get in quick do not wait on this one!

On 9th January 2012 at 10am, the FITASC opened on its site the entries to the World Sporting Championship, that will take place as from next 16th August in the USA.

On 10th January 2012 at 10am, so within 24 hours, 452 shooters have signed in yet and paid their entry fees. Well done to all entrants  !

I wish to draw the attention of the National federations, as far as the booking for their teams is concerned, as the world championship is most likely to  be full very soon. Besides I thank you for informing your shooters of the situation.

We have obtained a prelim flyer for the 2012 European Compak Sporting Championship to take place May 24th-27th at Sarlospuszta Shooting Complex in Budapest Hungary.  Entries will be on FITASC.com.  Please always check with the event organizer that the information is accurate.

According to the FITASC website entries for the 2012 World FITASC Championship in Illinois will be available on January 9th.  Keep an eye out for our announcement of entries open here and on our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

The 2012 World English Sporting Championship will be held in the UK in the beautiful Cotswolds area around Cheltenham (see interactive map below).  The event will take place August 1-5 and will be hosted at a number of ‘greenfield’ sites by The Clay Shooting Company.  The terrain is supposed to be very good and the area has never been used for clay pigeon shooting.  The event will consist of 200 English Sporting targets, prelims, FITASC and World Sportrap events.  Entries will open February 1st.  For more information see the CPSA website.

Registration for all side events and prelims at the 2012 World FITASC Championship is now open on the WinscoreOnline site.  Registration for the World Championship main event itself is not due to open until mid January.  The event is to be held August 16-19 at Northbrook Sports Club in Hainesville, Illinois.

Being held in Canada for 2012 the North American FITASC GP will become a truly North American event that you should add to your calendar.  Years back the event, known as the Pan American GP never really lived up to it’s name always being held in the U.S.  FITASC decided to split the event into the North American GP and the South American GP thus having two continental events.

The 2012 event is set to be held July 6-8 at Silver Willow Sporting Clays, Carstairs, Alberta, Canada which is near Calgary.  Shooting will take place on 200 targets set over eight old style parcours over three days.  Targets will be set by Dave Peckham of the UK.  The event is a FITASC World Cup and Team Canada qualifier and those in the U.S. chasing points should attend.

Along with the N.A. GP event a 200 target North American Open english sporting event will be held as well as a 100 target prelim.  The event takes place two weekends before the U.S. Open at Caribou the 16-22.  Entries will be through iClays.  See flyer below or download it here for more info.

Brett from Northbrook Sports Club is reporting that the host hotel Marriott Lincolnshire resort is sold out during the 2012 World FITASC championship in Hainesville, Illinois.  All 350 rooms!  I do not know if there is a waiting list but it is a while until the event and things might change yet.  Don’t worry though there are plenty of rooms for everyone around the club.  For alternate places to stay with special rates see the list below as well as bookmark our Shoot Guide to the 2012 World FITASC Championships for the latest information.
