-EDIT- The CPSA website has the scores for the World English Championship. The FITASC website lists the scores for the World FITASC Championship if you look for them. They can also be found at this website.
An epic adventure will be in store for shooters who wish to compete in Europe this year. Nothing less than back to back world championships! In July the World English Sporting Championship will take place in England and then only three days later the World Parcours de Chasse Championships will take place in Laterina, Arezzo in northern Italy. There will be plenty of time to travel by air or car across Europe between events. It’s going to be a great time!
When and where…
World English-
The World English will be held July 6-11 at Lakenheath CTC the same
site as the successful 2008 event. The grounds are handily located an hour north of London in Suffolk county. The nearest towns are Mildenhall, Brandon and Newmarket. You can find a list of nearby accommodationsat Lakenheth’s website. Click the markers in the map below for more…

How…
Flights-
International competitors traveling to these events will naturally want to check with their local travel agents or internet sites for the best airfares. Be aware that you cannot fly into London with a firearm on American Airlines. I hear that Air France/KLM are good carriers where this is concerned. They do not charge for taking firearms. London is your best bet for flying in for the World English and Rome for the FITASC. -EDIT- Have heard of some travel trouble already. Always notify the airlines you are traveling with a shotgun at least two weeks in advance.
I think most people will choose to fly from London to Rome if they shoot both events. Flying between European cities is relatively cheap. Flights can be had for under $200.
If you fly into Italy, Henry Nachaj again provides us with good first hand knowledge here.
Driving from London to Laterina is about a 16.5 hour trip straight through. If you drive from England to Italy you can drive your car right onto the train at the Eurotunnel and travel under the English channel to France. The Tunnel runs between Folkstone, England and Calais, France. Be aware that there are rules for taking firearms through the Eurotunnel. You should book ahead and arrive at least an hour early to check in. It’s similar to taking a flight.
The quickest way into Italy will probably be through the Mont Blanc tunnel under the Alps.
There is a toll to go through the tunnel and speeds are strictly limited. Do Not Speed! The place is loaded with speed cameras and you will be watched like a hawk due to the deadly fire that took place there.

I would like to thank Henry Nachaj and Pierre Dubois for their invaluable help on this post.
